The brief was to create a calm, highly resolved home within a Chelsea townhouse, balancing the demands of contemporary family life with the proportions and character of the original architecture.

A restrained palette of warm plaster, natural oak and tactile woven fabrics gives the rooms a quiet sense of continuity. The design allows the period envelope to remain legible while introducing a more generous, contemporary rhythm through the plan.

Bespoke joinery conceals technology and storage, while carefully scaled lighting, custom furniture and art placement bring a collected feel to the principal living and dining spaces.
